We’re getting pretty close to having adults who weren’t alive during 9/11, and we really need to admit at this point that the overemphasis on 9/11 in the US is just a propaganda machine to indoctrinate the younger generations into nationalism and to justify all the horrible war crimes the US committed in the Middle East, and the continued mistreatment and distrust towards refugees.

Racist white man fatally shots Black teen, calls him “another piece of trash”.
62-year-old William Ronald Pulliam shot and killed 15-year-old James Harvey Means. Pulliam shot James twice in the abdomen with a .380 caliber revolver.
According to what the witnesses say, Pulliam and Means physically bumped into each other on the sidewalk near Dollar General which provoked an argument. Pulliam then entered the store and James joined his friends on the porch of at the nearby home. When Pulliam left the store, he walked past Means and his friends and provoked another argument, which ended in Pulliam shooting Means twice in the abdomen.
Pulliam was not allowed to have a gun, as he had been convicted for domestic violence previously.
The police say Pulliam went to dinner and then to a female friend’s home after the shooting, which is where the gun was found. Pulliam admitted killing the 15-year-old and said:
“The way I look at it, that’s another piece of trash off the street.”
Charleston police asked federal authorities to determine if the killing meets the definition of a hate crime as if there’s any doubt…The man himself pretty much said it.
Just thinking that it happened on the two-year anniversary of the shooting of Tamir Rice makes my skin crawl. This is absolutely sickening…

what? hours? what does this post mean? i think it’s healthy to have time apart and still be able to love each other without constantly having to talk or see eachother. you shouldn’t be that dependent on someone or rely on them to give you a sense of security and comfort whenever you need it because that’s not realistic

“Dependency issues” isn’t an excuse to expect someone to talk to you 24/7 100% of the time. You can’t make your mental illnesses someone else’s cage. People need time and distance sometimes. Just cause you’re depressed or have anxiety or any other kind of mental illness that makes you codependent doesn’t mean that your partner has to sacrifice their own happiness and sanity for you. Codependency is toxic. Not being able to let your partner breathe is toxic. Being upset because your boyfriend didn’t reply to you for two hours is not okay. You can’t use your illnesses against other people, it isn’t fair.
